Your Weekly Glimpse Into Sioux Falls Life Is Presented By Rocket Fizz |
Hiya friends,
Welcome to another issue. The Big Sioux is running steady this week. I watch it flow every single day at work and get to see some interesting things.
Last week I shared the goose war. This week they have noticed me watching them, so no fights so far phew. The sky is threatening rain today, so let us have fun with that.
The World Cup is still going and my days and weeks are spent working and watching the matches lol. I still think a watch party would be awesome, so let us take a vote here.
If you would be interested in a watch party, click the link and I will do my best to make it happen.
Enjoy this issue and enjoy your week. Hope to see you at the Dinner Club this Thursday.

For one night, you are not yourself.
You are a noble with a secret. A courier who saw too much. Someone with a side to protect and a lie to keep. It is 1483, two princes have vanished from the Tower of London, and the answer has been missing for five hundred years. On July 11 at Minervas, we find it. And you are in the middle of it.
This is the night you scheme with strangers and leave with friends. You will dig for the truth over dinner, trade secrets between courses, accuse the person across the table, and laugh harder than you expected to. Before it is over, there will be a death. One of you is the killer. And by dessert, a name gets spoken aloud.
No acting experience needed. No pressure. Nobody on the outside looking in. You get your character ahead of time, you show up, you play. Dress the part if you like. Courtly best encouraged, never required.
A feast, a full evening, and prizes for the sharpest detective, the best dressed, and the boldest performance. The kind of night you will be retelling for weeks.
The War of the Roses Murder Mystery Dinner. July 11 at Minervas. 18 and up. $125 per guest, dinner included. Cash bar for cocktails and wine.
Only 20 seats. 10 are already gone.

SETTING UP SHOP -
Breaking Burrito has opened its brand-new storefront in Harrisburg located at 480 Prairie Side Place and will continue to serve up some of your favorite food truck finds plus more!
Union Pizza and Smash is newly open at 2111 S Minnesota Ave and the reviews have been piping hot. From great slices of pizza to cheap pinball glory, this is going to be a new date night hot spot.
Game Day Social has been around for a while via online store, but this sports apparel hub has taken a leap with a new headquarters. Attend the grand opening block party at 2516 E 52nd St N this weekend and snag some awesome deals, enjoy family fun, and morning yoga sessions!
ON THE WAY OUT-
Walter Hi Ho is entering a new chapter, and although it is not closing its doors, the beloved owners, The Pattersons, will be passing the torch to two local men who plan to keep the small-town dive bar feel. You can wish them well on their next journey and check out what is next for the Hi-Ho Bar on June 25th for a party.
THE SKY — I wish I could say it is going to be nice and sunny, but the South Dakota weather has other plans. You can expect rain and thunderstorms today. Looking back at previous years, on this day we typically reach a high of 90 with no rain, oh how the tables have turned.
AT THE FALLS — The levels of the Big Sioux are standing steady at a discharge rate of 398 cubic feet per second, whereas the Skunk creek is below normal for this time of year.
SPOTTED — Latte on the Loose is a mobile coffee truck in the area that has already grabbed some serious following for their attention to detail. Check them out this Wednesday, at the Courthouse from 7:30am-11:30am.
