Good morning, friend!
The adventure continues right here in Sioux Falls.
On Saturday, I met with Myriam, a fellow Crew Member with some great ideas for the Sioux Falls community. I am looking forward to partnering with her in the future, so stay tuned.
As we approach the end of summer and the start of the school year, events are slowing down a little bit, but Sioux Falls still has a ton to offer.
Enjoy this issue!
Quick Home & Market Update
As summer starts winding down, now is a good time to check and replace your furnace filter. A dirty filter can restrict airflow, make your HVAC system work harder, and increase energy usage. It’s a simple and inexpensive maintenance item that can help protect one of the most expensive systems in your home.
July is traditionally a slower month in real estate, with families traveling and getting ready for school. This July felt a little slower than expected, with showings dropping across the board.
What I found interesting, though, is that the number of showings before receiving an offer also dropped. My takeaway is that while there may be fewer buyers actively looking, the buyers who are out there are more serious. In many cases, serious buyers are finding better negotiating opportunities and walking away with stronger deals.
I’ve also noticed more homeowners reviewing or changing their insurance policies as costs continue to rise.
If you’re curious about the market, insurance options, or ways to reduce housing costs, feel free to reach out.
What is one thing about your current housing situation you’d most like to improve over the next year?

[ The Falls Report]
THE SKY - Today will be partly sunny with a high near 87 degrees. Humidity is at 92% today.
SUNSET - Grab your favorite night-time drink, and head outside to watch the South Dakota sunset at 8:38pm. Tomorrow is the new moon!
AROUND TOWN - There is a new concept in Sioux Falls called, " Get Fuel 2U" and this is how it works. You pick your plan, and the truck fills your tank up right in your driveway for a comparable price as the gas stations. Perfect for those who are tired of fighting traffic, leaving an extra 20 minutes early, or getting sucked into gas station food.
SPOTTED - Looking to see Santa Claus early this year? Head to the Buffalo Ridge Brewing Co in Hartford this Thursday, for a night of Jolly Good Bingo. The Birria Bros, a taco truck will be at the event, and all proceeds go towards Hartford's Hometown Christmas.
CREW SPOTLIGHT - Juniper Apothecary’s new location is my happy place! Quiet, a coffee/tea bar with all house made syrups and tea blends, plus an adorable shop with other goodies. -Abigail C
Before you dive into the Ring Leaders, here are the results from last week's poll: 55% NO, 45% YES. With that said, I shall table the Halloween event and run another poll next month.

Ring Leaders
Sioux Falls' Spots for the BEST onion rings
-
Roundhouse Pub (1515 E 69th St)
- This spot comes in at #1 with local raving over the balanced crunch, onion to breading ratio, and superior frying oil.
-
Look's Marketplace (500 E 69th St)
- Coming in at #2 is Look's. Now it is easy to get distracted at this spot with all of the options, but do not sleep on their onion rings.
-
The Dive (1612 S Western Ave)
- This is a nice little bar known for its $1 wing specials, but the onion rings are a crowd favorite.
-
TC Referee (5322 W 26th St)
- More than a sports bar. Serving up steak and union rings that are out of this world.
-
Baltic Corner (25001 475th Ave, Dell Rapids)
- Now this one might be breaking the rules a little bit, but it is worth it. The Baltic corner has great food, and even better service. The onion petals with the secret sauce are something to rave about.
-
Burger Time (200 S Lewis Ave)
- With a limited menu, Burger Time perfects the items they have, and the onion rings are no exception.
Did you see your favorite Onion Ring spot on the list? Let me know by replying to this email!

🏰 The Quinn Estate — A Murder Mystery at Minervas
Dear Friend,
One of the best things I heard on Saturday was that friends were made at the last Murder Mystery (The War of Roses). After the mystery, a couple of the guests went out and saw other guests at the bar they'd gone to and invited them to join. Not only that, but two actually became good friends.
I love that, and I believe the Quinn Estate is going to do exactly the same thing. On the 12th of September, 30 guests will meet and a will shall be read: thirty names, thirty gifts, and thirty small objects that turn out to mean something none of the recipients expect.
By the time dessert is served, every sealed envelope in that room opens at once, and everything that didn't add up all night suddenly does.
Reserve your seat here.

Dinner Club: Get matched with five other SuFu locals who fit your vibe.
605 Petals & Pines: 605 Petals & Pines began on our family's Sioux Falls acreage, where old horse pastures became flower rows. They grow seasonal cut flowers into fresh bouquets, arrangements, subscriptions, and hands-on workshops, connecting people with locally grown beauty and creating lasting happy memories around every stem harvested right on the farm.
Haven Care Solutions: The job offer came through. The moving truck is booked. And a cross-state license application is sitting untouched. Relocating to Sioux Falls as an APRN, CRNA, or CNM means credentialing across two states — a process that can stall a start date by months. HavenCare Solutions takes that off your family’s plate entirely, start to finish.
