Your Weekly Glimpse Into Sioux Falls Life |
It is already almost May, where has the time gone? Also, I can't believe this is the 64th issue. We're 3 issues away from 6.7.67.67.
I hope you all enjoyed your week. We had a busy weekend of hosting a garage sale, meeting up with some
amazing people we met through Dinner Club, and reminiscing on our journey so far with All Things Sioux Falls.
Last week, there was a lot of interest in staying up to date with the rummage sales going on around town, so we have included a section to highlight some of these sales each week!
Note: The outdoor hike is coming up soon, as well as some other fun events.
Alrighty then, let's get into it!
May 14th dinner now has 44 seats booked. Would you like to join these strangers? Book your seat by clicking the button below.
Here's how the dinner club works:
π§ Take the quiz and answer questions about you, your personality, food preferences and more.
π₯ Get matched with 5 other folks who match your vibe based on the questions you answered.
π± Show up for dinner with an open mind (restaurant and after party location is disclosed day of dinner).
You do not know who you will meet till dinner.
This is a fun way to meet your people and build relationships. I rave about dinner club because I've met so many wonderful people. Ones that smack pickleballs harder than you'd imagine and make you run to the right and left, leaving you breathless lol.
Book your seat by clicking the big red button below. If you have questions, reach out by replying to this email.
THIS WEEK'S FIND π
β
Naturally good wine. That is ya scoop from the desk of Godwin!
β
This week's find is a friendly, knowledgeable wine shop located downtown. Here are a few things to know about Mel Guse and her beautiful shop :))
β
Mel is a sommelier who built Gist Wine Shop around one idea: wine should be good, honest, and worth talking about. The shop specializes in natural wines, meaning minimal intervention, organic or biodynamic grapes, and nothing to hide.
β
You can stop in for a glass, a tasting flight, or a bottle to take home. If you want to go deeper, Mel runs tastings, classes, and private events for groups up to 20 people. She can also put together custom orders or help you plan a wine experience for a dinner or happy hour. Having a sommelier a few blocks away is a genuinely useful thing.
One more thing I found for you: if you are looking for something to do on Mother's Day weekend, Gist is hosting a special wine tasting on Saturday May 9th and Sunday May 10th from noon to 6 PM. $30 per person. A thoughtful way to spend the afternoon with someone worth celebrating.
