Stop Giving Forgettable Swag. Start Creating Moments.

Why Smart Sioux Falls Business Owners Are Rethinking Company Events

You've been to the events. The ones with the branded pen, the tote bag stuffed with paper nobody reads, and the lanyard that goes straight into a drawer.

The businesses that do get talked about are the ones with a solid work culture. The ones people brag about joining and hate to leave, and the thing they have in common?

They've figured out something important: People don't remember what they were given. They remember what they did.

That's exactly the gap that Chelsey is filling with 605 Hat Haus.

605 Hat Haus is a custom hat bar that comes directly to your events, company celebrations, grand openings, and team gatherings right here in Sioux Falls and surrounding areas. Guests don't just walk away with a hat, they build one.

They choose it, customize it, and own it in a way that a pre-boxed piece of swag never could deliver.

It sounds simple. But watch what happens in the room when it's there.

People linger. They compare choices. They laugh. They show each other what they made. For a few minutes, the agenda disappears and what you have instead, is just a group of people sharing something genuine.

Experience has a way of clarifying what actually matters:

If you've been running a business for any length of time, you already know that retention isn't solved by a salary bump alone. People stay where they feel like they belong and where the company's story feels like their story too.

A team that's been through hard quarters together, that's celebrated milestones and pushed through the lean years, needs moments that mark the journey. A custom hat from the day your company hit a new milestone, from the grand opening, from the team retreat, tells a story every time someone sees it.

It's not merchandise. It's a marker.

Whether you're planning a company anniversary, a client appreciation event, a grand opening, or just a summer team gathering, 605 Hat Haus is the kind of addition that turns a decent event into one people actually talk about.

If you're building something worth celebrating and if you've made it this far as a business owner in Sioux Falls, Chelsey and 605 Hat Haus are ready to show up for it, because the best events don't end when the room clears, they live on every time someone puts that hat on.

Go See Kelly at Halo Esthetics.

Kelly became an esthetician to be the person she needed when she was struggling with her own skin. Someone who actually listens, actually cares, and gets how personal this stuff is.

Winter wrecked a lot of skin this year. Dull, dry, congested, breaking out in weird places. Her Bloom & Balance Facial was designed for exactly that and it's only around through April 30th.

She's at 6010 S. Minnesota Ave and her books fill up fast.

Go see Kelly. 🌿

Your Road Map to St. Patrick's Day
in Sioux Falls:

March 14th is shaping up to be one of the best St. Patrick's Days Downtown Sioux Falls has seen. Whether you're lacing up your running shoes at sunrise or closing out the night with live music, there's something on this list for everyone. Here's how to make the most of it.

1) Start Your Morning Right

The Blarney Stone doesn't wait for the sun to get high, they open at 7:00am with Breakfast occupied by Green Beer. A great place to fuel up before the parade.

If you'd rather earn your green beer, 605 Running Co. hosts the Lucky 7's Run starting at 9:00am, with 5-mile, 5K, and 1-mile options along Phillips Avenue. All registered runners receive a parade button, so you go straight from the finish line to the festivities.

If running isn't your thing, we get it! Take a more relaxed approach to the morning at Wild Peach Co. with crafting, photo opportunities, and getting your hair braided.

The Main Event: The Parade

The 46th Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade is free and open to the public and anyone can participate as long as they're wearing an official button, available for $3 at participating businesses. Parade buttons support St. Francis House this year.

The traditional painting of the shamrock takes place at 11:00am in front of The First National Bank at 9th and Phillips, with the parade stepping off from Phillips Avenue and 13th Street at 2:00pm.

This year's Grand Marshal is Kelly Grogan; a retired Sioux Falls firefighter and the third member of the Grogan family to lead the parade. A true Sioux Falls Irish legacy moment.

Afternoon Options:

Once the parade wraps, the city stays green, it is up to you, to choose your adventure:

  • St. Patty's Day Bash | El Riad Fife β€” 11:30am–3:00pm. A downtown staple with plenty of room and plenty of fun.
  • Pot O' Gold Vendor Market | Prairie View Event Hall β€” 10:00am–2:00pm. Shop local while you celebrate.
  • St. Patrick's Day Party | WoodGrain Brewing Co. β€” Opens at 10:00am and runs all the way to midnight. Great craft beer and a crowd that lasts all day long.
  • St. Patrick's Celebration | The Steel District β€” 3:00pm–11:00pm. One of the bigger afternoon-into-evening options downtown.
  • Traditional Bag Pipes | McNally's Irish Pub - 12:00pm-6:00pm. There is nothing like the authentic sound of a proper Irish pub.

Evening & Night Out

Regardless of how you choose to spend it, St. Patrick's Day in Sioux Falls has always been more than a party, it's a tradition. From the first parade button sold to the last song of the night, this city shows up for it every single year.
See you out there.
