Let's get right in!
It's 2am. Your baby won't stop crying. You've tried everything. There's an answer 20 minutes away you probably don't know about yet. For parents with babies that are fussy all the time, not sleeping, struggling to poop, spitting up, this is for you.
Dr. Emily and Dr. Bailee at Nurture Family Chiropractic in Hartford are doing something most people don't even know about, and that is chiropractic care exclusively for women and children. Dr. Emily is 1 of only 3 chiropractors in all of South Dakota to hold triple certification through the ICPA, Webster, Perinatal, and Pediatric. That is the highest level of specialized training available for family chiropractic care through the ICPA.
Some may think chiropractic care is just for back pain relief, but Nurture Family Chiro digs deeper than that. The spine is the communication highway for your nervous system, allowing your brain to talk to every other organ, tissue, and cell in your body.

The spine is the communication highway for your nervous system, allowing your brain to talk to every other organ in your body.
In other words, when something feels off, there could be a number of things happening beneath the surface. A fussy, constipated baby? That might be a nervous system issue. Fun fact: most babies poop within 12 hours of their first visit with Dr. Emily or Dr. Bailee. How cool is that? They see babies with colic, reflux, constipation, ear infections, latch difficulties, torticollis, plagiocephaly, head preferences, developmental challenges, and birth trauma. They see pregnant mamas with low back pain, sciatica, round ligament pain, as well as for preconception care and postpartum recovery. 33% of their patients drive 45 to 150+ miles for this level of specialized care. The clinic is warm, cozy, and built for real families, crying babies and running toddlers (cracker crumbs included). Honestly? If I had known about Dr. Emily sooner, I would have been through her door a long time ago especially with 3 little babies that we have at home. Do yourself a favor and at least check them out. Not sure if it is right for your family? The first step is just a conversation. Call the clinic, ask your questions, and tell them All Things Sioux Falls sent you. Dr. Emily and Dr. Bailee are accepting new patients right now. Their schedule does not stay open long. Here's also a free guide for pregnant mamas. Discover how perinatal chiropractic care can help you move better, sleep deeper, and step into birth feeling strong and supported.

THIS WEEK'S FIND 🔍
From the desk of Godwin is a new scoop that is whimsical, fun for families. And that is the upcoming Musical at the Orpheum Theater. The SEUSSICAL JR. right at the Orpheum Theater as well as the SD Symphony Youth Orchestra.
Horton the Elephant, the Cat in the Hat, and all your favorite Dr. Seuss characters are coming to life in this whimsical, heartwarming musical. Follow Horton as he protects the tiny Who's and learns that loyalty, friendship, and believing in yourself can make even the smallest voice heard. Presented by Spotlight Theatre Company, this is a colorful, joyful show the whole family can enjoy together.
Shows run May 7 through May 10, with tickets at $20.23 all-in (no surprise fees at checkout).
Then the very next week, the stage shifts to Augustana University's Hamre Recital Hall for something a little different but equally worth your evening.
The South Dakota Symphony Youth Orchestra's Spring Camerata brings together young musicians performing in small chamber groups, working through a challenging repertoire with focused instruction.
These are Sioux Falls kids who've put in the work, and this concert is their moment to show it. Performances are May 13 and 14 at 7 p.m., with tickets running just $5 to $10.
As I dug through, one thing is clear: Sioux Falls youth is doing extraordinary things on stage. They are creating, growing and giving the community something to be proud of, so be sure to support whenever you can.
These are just two events out of many that I picked. There are events such as the Lincoln High School Jazz Bands "Encore" Concert, the Ballerina Dance Studio presents, "Life Is a Highway: Dance It All Night Long", several Open Mic Night's and more. I might end up reciting a poem soon at the open mic night.
Dinner Club
The 5th Dinner Club is just shy of 9 days away and reservations will be made in a couple days here.
If you haven't experienced it yet, it works like this:
1. You book your seat after taking a personality quiz
2. You get matched with 5 other strangers
3. You show up with an open mind and have fun
The fun part about the dinner club is that you won't know the restaurant you're going to till the day of, and there is an afterparty 90 minutes after dinner.
In short, you might meet your new bestie here. I've met wonderful folks through the dinner club and I know you will too :))
Happy Mother's Day
With the newsletter going out just a few days before Mother's Day, I just want to stretch out my virtual arms and give you moms a big hug! Thank you for all that you do for us. We love you, appreciate you and just so thankful.
This Sunday, treat your mamas to something special :))
They deserve it every single day.
