Good Morning, and happy July, Crew!

I hope you had a great (& safe) 4th of July weekend. We had some crazy storms in the region since the last issue, so I hope you and yours were not affected!

This week, Sioux Falls is going to be nuts!

There are a ton of events, tournaments, and festivals, plus we have added some fun places you could have dinner this week and a brand-new sewing shop to the area for all of our crafty crew members.

Enjoy this issue!

Presented By: Farmhouse Quilting

Farmhouse Quilting is a family-owned quilt shop in Hartford, South Dakota, built on a passion for creativity, quality, and community.

Founded by Erin Evans, the shop is truly a family effort. You'll often be greeted by Erin, her daughter, or her parents during your visit. Erin opened Farmhouse Quilting while working full-time as a surgical technologist.

After dedicating 23 years to healthcare, she made the courageous decision to follow her dream and devote herself full-time to the quilt shop she had worked so hard to build.

She takes pride in offering unique, carefully selected fabrics that stand apart from what you'll typically find elsewhere. In addition to quilting supplies, she features beautiful handmade goods crafted by her parents, showcasing the talent and craftsmanship that make the shop special.

She also creates a variety of quilt kits that coordinate with the displayed quilt samples, making it easy to recreate the designs you love at home.

[ The Falls Report]

THE SKY — After a stormy weekend, you can expect to dry out a bit today. And by dry, I mean shrivel up like SpongeBob out of water... with a high of 87, humidity level also at 87, and the UV is at an 8.
SUNSET — 9:12pm tonight. The moon will be in its third quarter phase.
AT THE FALLS — You can catch a live performance of Julius Caesar at the Queen Bee Mill until July 12th. Tickets are FREE, bring a chair and blanket.
AROUND TOWN — Levitt season is still on, free music on the lawn at Falls Park every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday all summer.
SPOTTEDMK Threads is an affordable women's boutique downtown that has had a lot of changes this year. In the beginning of the year, it changed ownership and now they have changed locations (just across the street) but a whole new feel.
REMEMBER WHEN — You could catch some really great hard metal rock shows at Senor Weiner on West 41st?

7 Date Night Spots in Sioux Falls You May Have Never Thought Of:

1) All Day Cafe
This cafe has a great ambiance with an outdoor patio and comfortable seating. All recipes are made from scratch, giving you the "home cooked" meal feel - without all of the dishes. The Cafe offers $12 Bottomless Mimosas and $5 Bloody Marys EVERY Sunday.

2) Pirates Plunder
The newest mini golf course in the Sioux Falls area features blacklight fun at an affordable price. Owned by a husband/wife duo, who love mini golf adventures for date nights, they have created a space for connection with a little bit of competition.

3) Trio Jazz Club
If you have not been to Trio yet, you are missing out. Trio naturally creates the perfect setting for you to impress a new connection, or the one who has been by your side through everything. Get dressed up, and enjoy the candlelit room paired with smooth jazz and upscale food.

4) Picnic in the Park
It is no secret that Sioux Falls has some amazing parks, but have you enjoyed them as the sun starts to set? Platter and Petal here in Sioux Falls offers a unique, luxury picnic experience set up at your location of choice. More than just a blanket and a picnic basket, this is a whole spread that shows the time, and effort you put in to planning the evening.

5) "Chopped" Showdown at Home
A date night that never disappoints is one filled with fun, and surprises. Head to the Pomegranate Market and shop separately to each find 7 Basket items required to make dinner, use some of your favorites, and pick a few ingredients you have never worked with before.
When you get home, you each cook a meal separately with the music on and waist grabs as you pass each other in the kitchen. After, you test and rate each dish based on creativity, taste, and appearance.

6) Creative Outlets
The Mosaic in town has some really great opportunities for adults to bond and use creativity. On Tuesday evenings, they host classes like Pottery Wheel, Watercolor, Pet Portraits, and Woodcarving Classes. These are classes that will challenge you, give you time to ask each other questions you haven't in a while, and at the end, you have memories and a keepsake of the night.

7) The Game Chest
This is a really cool space in Sioux Falls, that is still a hidden gem despite opening in 2017. This space is perfectly set up for you to have fun, have conversations, and play a variety of games. We are talking board games, card games, live action games, and everything in between.

If you check any of these out, let me know how it goes! (Bonus points for pictures).

You Never Know Who You Will Set Next To...

All Things Sioux Falls Dinner Club is coming up on the 28th of July, just a couple weeks away. Here's what someone said about her experience on the 25th of June.

"I sat next to a wonderful lady who worked in landscaping horticulture and had a minor in bug-ology.
I met a high school art teacher who consciously goes out of her way to make learning an enjoyable experience for her students. On the side, she is a potato enthusiast, talented in creating art of potatoes.

I met a beautiful soul who likes to treat themselves to a solo movie and dinner night once a week, prioritizing self-care. Overall, I met some amazing people I would have never met otherwise, and I am entirely grateful for this experience!"
